Parks Canada helps fight British Columbia forest fires:To help fight the forest fires currently raging in British Columbia, Parks Canada is lending its support and expertise. At the request of the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC), a group of 20 forest firefighters and a forest fire management team will be deployed in the province.
We have had 3 times the area burned so far this year than the average for the last 10 years. You can read more here.
